We were doing our math flashcards and we came upon 3+6. I was watching her, waiting for her to be counting in her head and this is what comes out. If you take 1 away from 6 and add it to the 3, you have 5+4. 4+4 is 8+1=9.
I can't imagine a more difficult way to get the right answer, but she got there! I know I will never understand how her mind truly works, but I was happy to get a glimpse into her world.
